PROPERTIES: Creatine is obtained from the daily diet (50% approx.) And the rest is synthesized by the body itself. The daily needs are calculated in two grams. Creatine basically accumulates in the muscles (90%) in the form of creatine phosphate or phosphocreatine at a rate of 1.75 grams per kilo of weight. An average 70 kg person stores about 120 grams of creatine in their body. This molecule is an immediate source to regenerate ADP into ATP， from which the muscle fibers extract the energy necessary for contraction. The levels of phosphocreatine and ATP in our cells are in a certain balance， specific to each person. High intensity training and the use of dietary supplements that contain it generate a significant increase in creatine concentrations in muscle tissues. Approximately 40% is in the form of free creatine (it does not store energy) and 60% is phosphorylated creatine (if it stores energy). We also know that the amount of creatine in the body decreases with advancing age. With the proper use of a nutritional supplement， increases in muscle creatine can be achieved that range between 10 and 30% depending on the person.
